Confession time
I secretly write;
My pen flies along these lines
Confession of thought, of word, of deed,
Relating the unrelateable
I scowl as my script
(written in verse)
unfolds before my eyes.
The secrets to life
May be locked within
If only I can locate the correct key.
But who am I
to arrogantly arise
and proclaim the world I see?
Is my confession valid;
Are my words light or dark;
Shall sharing them bring life to you?
I can only hope;
You can only listen
And maybe you will believe.
For I sit here and scrawl,
Try to rise above all,
For I am a poet
you see.

This is what it all comes down
To sentence innocence and purge the humble
Head that hovers high seeking
Help and never finding it.
I stand here to hold you
away from the explosion that
Seeks to contaminate your
Confirmed identity, You!
If we were Castor and Pollux,
We could not be closer
Than we are, raised in the blessing
of blood — three by one,
Essentially alive in the bestowed
Brotherhood, broken not for anything
or anyone but born to
Breathe in unison.
And as I sing your song
A world cries,
For they still struggle
To discover the secret
Of Life, Unity.

I don’t understand
once again
I know it’s inevitable
But it’s the indiscriminate that punctures
this sorrow’s heart
Young and alive yesterday
A face full of smile
Is the snapshot that fills my vision
But now it’s crisp around the edges
Haunting a hundred flooded feelings
Do You believe, I’ve been asked
And I want to scream
No, Never!
Til tempered tragedy
Comes covered by summer snow
And the season’s squall
No longer touches all
But my fingers are wet
And they cannot be dried
Until one day
I follow in your footsteps
Peace be with you
